AND GENERAL INFORMATION RELATING TO YOUR STAY
Deposits and
cancellation policy
All deposit fees are non-refundable at all times and ample notice
(at least 15 working days) must be given for cancellations, as
a 50% fee charge (+ administration fee of £20) will be incurred
should the Hotel not be in a position to re-let the room(s) after
cancellation. Should you decide not to turn up or arrive at the
hotel, having not notified anyone of cancellations within your
group, 100% fees will still be due.
Under 18’s
Our minimum age is 18 yrs unless accompanied by a responsible
adult over the age of 18yrs. If that is not possible then we require
a letter of consent from the parents of each person under the
minimum age. Anyone under the age of 16 years old has to be accompanied
by an adult. A consent letter is not acceptable for a minor.
The consent letters must be sent prior to arrival at the hotel.
Check in, check out times
Check-in times are between 2pm and 6pm on the day of arrival.
Should your times be outside of this, we will need to know immediately
so that we can try to allow for this.
Checks out times on your day of departure are before 10.30am and
your rooms need to be left the way you found them so please allow
time for this.
Breakfast
If you want breakfast
it costs an extra £5. For this you will receive a voucher
which entitles you to a full English breakfast and tea or coffee
at Aroma café, we have tried all of the cafes around and
we reckon it’s the best!
Room Notices
You will find notices in your room that we draw your attention
to on arrival. It is imperative that you take sober note of these
rules. We will therefore not allow access to parties who appear
to have been drinking prior to arrival here at the hotel.
Security
We have cameras both inside and outside of the hotel, giving 24hr
surveillance for the safety of us all. During high season we also
have a security guard on patrol to assure the safety of us all.
However, as far as security of your belongings are concerned,
each room has a lock on the door and only yourselves and the hotel
management have access to it. We are nevertheless, unfortunately
not completely invulnerable to crime, especially during summer
when thousands of people transform Newquay from a sleepy township
to a thriving beach resort. Being a victim of crime is incredibly
distressing for all involved and can ruin an otherwise perfect
holiday. To help keep you and us, safe and secure please take
the time to think about security during your stay with us. We
have a safe and will be more than happy to take your small valuables
and keep them secure for you. However, we always advise to air
on the side of caution and ask you to try not to bring along valuables
for fear of them getting lost or stolen.
Security Bonds
Your security bonds are held to ensure the safety of our property
and the peace and well being of everyone in and around the hotel.
We like nothing more than to be able to give them all back.
Should
anything in the hotel be damaged or defaced by you, your security
bond will not be returned on departure and all damages must be
paid for in full. If there is evidence of malicious damage all
members of your group will forfeit their security bonds and you
can explain to them why you thought it funny at the time!
Please note that these are the terms and conditions under which
we accept groups into our hotel and will only seem harsh to those
who wish to create damage to our property.
Please
also note that noise nuisance, unacceptable and intimidating behaviour
is not tolerated here and again will forfeit security bonds. To
elaborate, anyone found to be in a drunken state, abusive, disrespectful
or violent to anyone in or around the immediately vicinity of
the hotel, (this is a residential area and we have to live here)
loses their money and in extreme circumstances will be asked to
leave the premises with no refund.
We
are a family run hotel with children living on the premises and
this is how we market it; we are not a party hotel that stays
open all night but a chilled out relaxing haven where people come
to rest and feel like they’ve had a holiday instead of needing
another one when they get home. All we want is for everyone to
have a happy and peaceful holiday and feel like they’re
home from home. Please respect our property and all who reside
in and around it, and help us to ensure that all visitors to The
Hotel can enjoy the same excellent standards.
Smoking
We hold a STRICT NO SMOKING policy within the bedrooms of the
hotel. This is put in place not only for the risk of fire, but
also for other guests who do not smoke. Again if evidence is found
when you check out i.e. burn holes in quilt covers or flooring
and cigarette snubs dropped out of your windows, you will have
to pay for the damages and cleaning costs out of your group security
bonds and should they not cover the cost of the damages, please
be aware that you will be expected to pay for the rest, as a group
before you leave.
Please note that the bar is a smoking area, so please make use
of this facility.
Parking
Unfortunately, we have no car park but there is unrestricted on
road parking all around us here if you can get a space. If you’re
unlucky there are car parks all around Newquay the closest being
approx 5 minutes walk away. Parking on the closest car park is
60p per hour from 9am to 6pm, 60p from 6pm to midnight and £1.20
overnight. A week ticket is £20.00.
